Preliminary reports suggest that our WASL scores for the sophomores are good. I am more interested in the scores for the 98% of freshman that took the WASL this year. Unfortunately, as with anything that comes from the state, we will have to wait until just before the school year to find out.
Our hope was to have those numbers so that we could prepare for the upcoming year beginning at the end of this year. Oh well.

I am trying VERY HARD *not* to be sitting on the doorstep of our high school's vp the end of this week. I am trying VERY HARD to wait for our letter in the mail.
We won't know really how our summer will be until we find out if we have summer school and wasl retakes or not. So I am trying VERY HARD to be patient...

BTW, our district gets to opt out of the additional grades and wasling those students. We get to look at other areas of assessment with the bonus being they are cheaper and you get results right away. It took a lot of work to pull this off. Kudos to our super and school board!
